Melbourne has gotten back on the pub beers today, as venues are allowed to reopen for table service.

Social media is flooded with beautiful images of people across Victorian enjoying cafe dining, coffee in a porcelain cup, and fresh beer poured direct from the keg into pint glasses.

Getting back “on the beers“, as Premier Dan Andrews has referred to, was a long time coming for millions of Victorians.

From June 1, up to 20 people are allowed to enter cafes and restaurants across Victoria as COVID-19 restrictions ease.

After three months of lockdown, a sense of normality is starting to emerge.

Many pubs and restaurants opened their doors for the first time since the major economic lockdowns come into effect in March 2020.
