Melbourne Reopen : Bars, Pubs, Restaurants Cafes Can Open from Tuesday 11.59pm.
Melbourne will move from a “stay home” to a “stay safe” strategy from midnight Tuesday.
Under the Melbourne reopening plan, retain outlets, cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs can open back up.
Beauty and tattooing services will be able to open with mask wearing still in place.
More than two households will be able to gather outdoors.
The 25km travel limit will also be axed and the Melbourne, regional Victoria border will be removed.
“The state will be open again,” Premier Andrews said.
Offices to remain work from home if possible.
“If you can work from home, you must work from home. If you can work from offices with rules, and it is safe to do, then you can do so. If we were to call it now, around 8 November we will have more to say about what those next steps are,” Mr Andrews said.
Keep earning a mask
The Premier urged people to keep wearing masks.
“If people do not play their part in wearing a mask and wearing it properly, washing your hands, keeping distance and coughing into your elbow, all these things, all these rules are just as important as contact tracing work,” Mr Andrews said.
